The Last of Us Part II | Motor Accessibility Options

Alternate Controls Menu

The Altenate Controls menu can be accessed by Options > Accessibility > Alternate Controls.

For ease of navigation we have split the information for the settings available within the Alternate Controls menu across two pages.

In the Alternate Controls menu, you are able to customise many of the actions listed on the Controls List on the previous page (page 4) to some of the different inputs on the controller. In addition there are some schemes aimed to aid One Hand Only play. We will list the controls for the Left Hand Only and Right Hand Only control schemes on this page.

From the Alternate Controls menu, you are also able to remap certain inputs, change the orientation of the controller, choose how left and right stick behave, change some controls schemes used within certain contexts (such as Boat Controls and Guitar Strumming), alter whether some actions can be made toggleable and also access some Assistance options, such as camera and aim assists. We will go through these options on the following page (page 6).

Input Remap

The Input Remap group of options within the Alternate Controls menu contains a link to the Customise Controls page, which is also available from the Controls menu (Options > Controls).

Customise Controls

Customing controls can be reached by Options > Accessibility > Alternate Controls >
Customise Controls (or Options > Controls > Customise Controls).

Control Scheme

Control Scheme (Default/Right Hand Only/Left Hand Only/Custom Scheme 1,2,3):

Default: Please see the Controls List on page 4 for more about the Default control scheme.

Custom Scheme: You can create your own custom scheme which may include custom input remapping, a non-standard controller orientation and/or alternative use of the left and right stick. You can save up to three of these custom schemes and you can rename them for reference. Below we will look at the individual settings which can be used alone or combined to make a custom scheme.

Left and Right Hand Only: These control schemes move some of the controls, to help make them more accessible to some people when playing with one hand only on a standard controller. Below we will go through the mappings when using both these schemes. If using either of these schemes, you cannot change the Controller Orientation, the Left Stick and Right Stick setting or remap any of the other inputs (see below the Left and Right Hand Only control schemes for more on these options).
